BIOGRAPHY

Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Andrés is a composer, orchestrator and arranger currently residing in Los Angeles, California.

He has been the lead orchestrator on the films No Time to Spy (Nickelodeon), Mooned (Illumination Entertainment), Fearless (Netflix), The Claus Family (Netflix), Woodwalkers (Blue Eyes Fiction) among others.

Andrés has also provided additional orchestrations for Tim Davies on the films The Lego Movie 2:The Second Part, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children, Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse as well as the TV Series Revenge and Empire.

As part of the team at JoAnn Kane Music Service (JKMS), Andrés has worked on projects such as Star Wars (Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, Rise of Skywalker), Mary Poppins Returns, Frozen 2, Toy Story 4, The Simpsons, The Oscars 2020 among others. 

He has also collaborated as an arranger with the German music production company DASDUR, creating an orchestral arrangement for the big finale of a fireworks show in Bahrain.

In addition to his work in the United States and Europe, Andrés has worked for Colombian composer Camilo Sanabria, orchestrating the film Alias Maria (Cannes Official Selection in 2015) and the documentary Carta a Una Sombra.

As a composer, Andrés released his album Doorways in 2021, highlighting the diverse range of his writing. The album was recorded in Los Angeles, Bogotá, New York and Budapest with over 90 musicians involved and is available on all streaming services. He also wrote the score for the Colombian feature film Rio Seco, which participated in different Film Festivals in México, Cuba and Colombia, as well as the short film Venena Bibas, which premiered at the 19th Amsterdam LGBTQ Film Festival.

In Colombia, Andrés served as Artistic Coordinator for the Fine Arts Theater in Bogotá (2010-2012) and he is a founding member, composer and arranger of The Bogotá Symphony Orchestra (FOSBO). He has been an arranger for FOSBO for over 12 years, creating several symphonic versions of Latin music performed at major concert venues and broadcast live on national television.
